Other than that, Social Media Websites LOOKED like they were mostly for fun!

Then, about 9 months ago, something amazing happened. I watched as Barack Obama and his team started using these tools to develop the most powerful online army of advocates that the political world has ever seen.

His team became the masters of social media. They built a following of 900,000 fans on Facebook and had 250,000 followers on Twitter. The “Yes We Can” video had over 17 Million views. The Obama Girl Videos received over 13 Million views. One speech by Barack Obama has more than 5 Million Views!

I don’t care what your political views are. You have to realize that Obama and his team changed the face of Social Media, from a place to socialize to a place to change the world.
